The World Beer Festival Takes on Raleigh

WBF

For the tenth year in a row, on April 11, the World Beer Festival visited us here in Raleigh. And if you missed it, you were really missing out on what craft beer has to offer the world, not just in beer, but in community.

The Word Beer Festival is a gathering of like minds. A sort of inspired event of craft beer greatness rubbing elbows together for the love of hops, and to share experiences, brews, and stories. Festivals like this are romantic poetry, odes to a love, and a lifestyle.

As Jennifer Holland of Green Man Brewery said:

It’s everybody coming together because they really enjoy beer. They want to know more about it and it’s a great way to taste everything from inside the state as well as outside.

Just around 100 breweries set up in Moore Square downtown, 40 of which were from North Carolina (including us!), handing out new, rare, classics, and experimental beers for the public to indulge in. It was a great success for everyone involved, and we were proud to have participated.

The transient World Beer Festival provides an outlet for craft breweries in many major cities around the United States, and Raleigh was just the first stop.

So if you missed the chance to commiserate with like-minded folks who all share similar passions for beer, you still have several opportunities to attend.

Up next, on June 13, 2015, Cleveland, Ohio. The home of Great Lakes Brewing Co., Fat Head’s Brewery, and Rocky River Brewing, to name just a few.

Then, on June 27, 2015, North Carolina Brewers Celebration, followed by Durham in October. So don’t fret! You still have the chance to celebrate with us if you missed it.
