Have you seen Hop ‘Em High – one of our favorite ales for outlaws – on the shelf yet?

Hey, it’s out there.  It’s lurking on supermarket shelves, looking for you, outlaws.

Featuring a yellow can with a hoppy outlaw in green, Hop ‘Em High is ranging far afield for us, extending outlaw territory. It’s big, but oh so crushable. Our latest canned Double IPA was put together like a successful crime caper, with careful plotting and planning.  We rustled up a variety of powerful American hops including Centennial, Columbus and Simcoe, to bring out the sting of wind in the pines and a twist of citrus, leaving outlaws just a little bitter when it’s all gone. Hops do not make an IPA on their own, so we called on the mystery of malt — the sweet grains that give us alcohol, body and background flavor, at the least.  By selecting dark crystal and Vienna malts, crafted by maltsters for flavor and a vibrant amber appearance, we provided a suitable mount for our hoppy hero to ride out into the land. Or is that anti-hero? You’ll have to decide.

This is the season to enjoy a cold beer in the way only summer allows. Because summer lays down the law of heat in a way that even outlaws can’t defy. Hop ‘Em High helps settle the score this time of year. And get ready for the return of The Preacher, a very different ale for outlaws. Back soon, with a long memory and a continental past. There’s always a back story at Lonerider. Come on down to the taproom and find out a little more of the truth, behind the lies, behind the naked outlaw truth.
