Welcome Caitlin Blackerby aka Smooth HOPerator
We’ve got a new production manager!!! With Joseph Wheeler stepping up to Head Brewer we asked Caitlin Blackerby to join the team and we’re super excited to have her.
Caitlin is a Raleigh-ite and NC State graduate who flew south one winter to visit her grandparents and it took her 8 years to migrate home. Thank goodness for GPS! For most of that time down south, she helped operate a small brewery and developed a passion for the brewing industry and culture. Now, she’s back in Raleigh and excited to be a part of the Lonerider team to help continue and support the growth of the brand. “It’s the smell of the brewhouse during a mash in, the sounds of a canning line and a forklift backing up. And at the end of a long brew day, after the sweat and tears dissipate, you get to enjoy the “fruits” of your labor with genuinely solid people who have your back.”
In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys lounging and watching The Sopranos or Always Sunny in her renovated 13-passenger church bus which she converted into an RV over the last year and a half. She plans to travel with her two pups, Charlie & Sheila when her schedule allows and on the weekends. She also enjoys crochet and specializes in tiny earrings that replicate everyday favorites such as tacos, watermelons, and house plants that she sells online and at the farmer’s market.
