Celebrate St. Patricks Day With A Great Run And Great Beer

Screen-Shot-2016-02-18-at-5.17.50-PM

Though St. patrick’s Day this year lands on a Thursday, Raleigh’s celebrating a bit early with a kick-off weekend March 12, and the Outlaws are coming along for the ride. With Brierdale Shopping Center and TraLi Irish Pub, we’re hosting the annual Brierdale Ale Trail 5k Run.

The Brierdale Ale Trail is a 5k loop that crosses Brier Creek twice, with a bit of rolling hills. You’ll be racing other Outlaws to the finish line, and maybe even competing for awards given to the top 3 runners  of our established age groups. At the end of the run, you–and everyone 21 and up with a valid ID–will get to enjoy a specially-made Lonerider beer exclusively made for the occasion, with your very own Lonerider pint glass.

The run isn’t just for fun and beer: all proceeds from the race will go to two organizations, Teen Cancer America and theLung Transplant Foundation. Both organizations are hoping to raise $500 each in order to help teens and transplant recipients and to continue much-needed medical research for the groups they represent. With that money, they can continue to do great work in the Triangle.

Registration is only $25 until February 12, then afterwards it goes up. You’ll be able to pick up your registration packet at Dicks Sporting Goods the day before the race, or at the TraLi Irish Pub the day of the race. Who turns down good beer for a great cause? We’re hoping that you won’t for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend! To learn more about the event, contact us!
